Reproductive Biology
Research Group

YUCARLAB investigates the cellular, molecular, and structural mechanisms underlying reproductive competence, ovarian function, early embryo development, and reproductive disease models. We provides an integrated experimental platform combining reproductive biology, developmental biology, histology, molecular analysis, cell culture, and quantitative imaging. Our laboratory offers expertise in mouse embryo culture, ovarian and uterine tissue analysis, immunofluorescence-based marker evaluation, reproductive disease models, and image-driven quantitative assessment.

Current Research

Ovarian Microenvironment and Fibrosis

We investigate how ovarian stromal remodeling, extracellular matrix alterations, inflammatory signaling, oxidative stress, and cellular stress pathways contribute to ovarian dysfunction, follicular loss, and reproductive aging. Our work aims to identify molecular and structural signatures that may inform future therapeutic strategies for preserving ovarian function.

Early Embryo Development and Cell Fate

Our embryo research focuses on the molecular mechanisms that regulate early lineage specification, trophectoderm formation, inner cell mass identity, cell–cell communication, and developmental competence during the preimplantation period.

Molecular Signaling in Reproductive Function

We explore key signaling pathways, including Hippo/YAP, mTOR, c-Abl, ferroptosis-related pathways, telomerase-associated mechanisms, and circadian regulators, to understand how reproductive tissues respond to physiological and pathological stress.
